You can create your own competitions, and to do it you can use different parameters that allow you to create an ad hoc competition. Pay attention to offset well the different organizational parameters, to avoid that your competition will be deserted. You can organize some meetings during the season, but at most one for Juniores and Master category, and two for the Seniores one. Let's get on to a description of all the possible parameters you can choose for the creation of your Meeting.

Contents

Competition level

Obviously as high is the level of presence, so it will be high the fee you have to pay. Organize big meetings only if you can afford them. otherwise it's only counterproductive.

Competition Cost of organization
Regional meeting   500
National meeting  5.000
Continental meeting 20.000
World meeting 50.000

Competitor categories

You can choose if to aim you competition to young, senior or master athletes. Obviously in base of the target range, you have to change the next variables.

Competition with invite

Do you want to organize a competition with invite between friend clubs of yours? Do you want to choose who can enter it to allow them to show the maximum of their potential? Select the type of invite, that can be both individual (you will have to choose each athlete that will take part to the competition), and corporate (you will be able to choose the club and let it decide which athletes to enroll).

Club standings

A club standing increase the attractively of your competition, but inexorably also the costs. A club standing allows to the top clubs of the final standing (sum of male and female standings) to win the prize with the amount you choose. A club standing could limit the enrollment of athletes in your competition, so figure out well what you want to do. The position standing give a score to the club according to the final placing of the athlete, while the perfomance standing give the score to the club according to the performance of the athlete.

You can choose among two kind of standing:

position standing
the score will be given in base to the final placing of the athlete: the first athlete gets so many points as are the enrolled athletes, then one point less until the last athlete that gets only one point;
performance standing
the score will be given in base to the performance of the athlete

In all the two cases the final score of a club is the sum of the points of each athlete of the club.

The maximum jackpot depends by the level of the meeting:

Competition Max jackpot
regional meeting  5.000
national meeting 10.000
continental meeting 25.000
world meeting 50.000

You can choose between four types of prize-giving, that distribute in different ways the jackpot to the winning clubs:

Prize-giving type 1ª stand. 2ª stand. 3ª stand. 4ª stand.
prize-giving "A" 100%
prize-giving "B" 70% 30%
prize-giving "C" 60% 25% 15%
prize-giving "D" 57% 22% 12% 9%

Stages for race events

You can organize the stages for the race events, in this way you will allow the athletes to face more phases, during which they can also improve their perfomances. According to the number of enrolled athletes there will be the possibility to have Quarter finals, Semi-finals and the Final. You can't use stages during competition with club standings.

Maximum number of enrolled athletes for a club in a event

Use this option if you want to create a club standing, because it avoid to allow that some club enrolls more athletes than others in a single event, making homogeneous events.

Minimum for partecipating

It's useful for who wants to select the athletes that take part to the competition in base to the 3 minimum levels (A-B-C). Closing minimums allow you to increase the cost of enrollment (high level athletes who compete together are the base for great performances), but you could also have some problems to cover the costs of the competition.

Enrollment cost for each athlete

This field is fundamental for a good success of a competition. A price too high couldn't ensue to many enrollments, while a price too low won't allow you to cover the costs of your competition. You have to valuate well how much to make pay for each athlete, keeping in mind what kind of arena you have (also the arena has its importance in the fulfilment of great performances) and cosidering also the potential spectators that could attend to the competition you are preparing (most part of the receipts could come from this).

Moreover you have to valuate well the problem with the carrying out date of the competition (try to avoid the crowded dates to avoid too much competition) and with the events you want to carry out.
